Liverpool star set for Serie A move?
Italian side AS Roma are reportedly looking into a late move to sign defender Dejan Lovren on a season-long loan from Liverpool.
The Giallorossi have been in the pursuit of the Croatian since the beginning of the summer transfer window but a deal has failed to materialise to date.
Still, Paulo Fonseca's side have refused to give up on the centre-back and Corriere dello Sport claims that the Serie A outfit will make a late move for the Croatian.
The same publication claims that the Giallorossi are prepared to propose a temporary deal for the 30-year-old with the option to buy at the end of the campaign.
Lovren, who struggled with a groin injury concern last season, has yet to feature for the Reds this term with Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk featuring at the heart of the defence.
Joe Gomez is the only other senior option available for the central defensive duties and it remains to be seen whether manager Jurgen Klopp is prepared to sanction Lovren's sale without a replacement pursued.
