Juventus to miss out on signing Shkodran Mustafi?
Juventus are unlikely to push through an agreement with Arsenal for Shkodran Mustafi before the European transfer deadline tonight.
The Bianconeri have already splashed nearly £100m on the signings of Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral this summer but they seem keen on pursuing an experienced centre-back following a long-term injury for club-captain Giorgio Chiellini.
Mustafi and Liverpool's Dejan Lovren have been earmarked as suitable candidates to fill the void but Sky Sports News claims that the former is unlikely to make the move to Turin before the 7pm transfer deadline.
The Germany international has fallen out-of-favour under Unai Emery since the start of the season and he has failed to make an appearance in any of the opening four Premier League matches.
At present, David Luiz and Sokratis Papastathopoulous are the regulars for the central defensive roles while Calum Chambers have been preferred ahead of Mustafi to make the substitutes' bench.
Aside from Mustafi, Mohamed Elneny and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have also been touted to part ways with the club and the latter seems on the verge of joining AS Roma on loan.
