Tottenham closing in on to sign Eredivisie winger
Tottenham are reportedly in talks with PSV Eindhoven over the signing of winger Steven Bergwijn, according to the Guardian.
The report also adds that the Dutch winger’s agent has been spotted in England, possibly due to work out a deal with the North London club. In the meantime, Bergwijn has also been dropped out of the squad amidst the transfer speculation.
Bergwijn, who is rated at £30m, has been excellent for PSV this season, racking up 5 goals and 10 assists in Eredivise. He is also in pole position to be a starter for the Netherlands in Euro 2020
The 23-year-old also turns out to be a key target of Premier League club Leicester, having rejected a deal to join La Liga club Sevilla last summer.
It would mark Spurs' second signing in the transfer window following Gedson Fernandes, should the deal materialise for the Dutch prospect.
Spurs are also in the market for a striker following the injury to their talisman Harry Kane. Willian Jose, Timo Werner and Piatek are all on their transfer radar.
