Premier League defender keen on Chelsea transfer
Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell is reportedly keen on pushing through a move to Chelsea when the transfer window reopens this summer.
The Blues have already agreed a deal in principle to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig but they have yet to make an official announcement.
According to Evening Standard, the west London club are now lining up a move for Chilwell from the Foxes with manager Frank Lampard keen on bolstering the left-back department.
The Foxes are holding out for a fee of more than £60m for the Englishman but reports claim that they may be forced to lower their asking price with Chilwell likely to push for a transfer.
It is added that a package of around £50m could be sufficient for the Blues to sign the England international. The Foxes are said to have identified Southampton's Ryan Bertrand as a suitable replacement.
Chelsea are presently fourth in the league standings with 48 points. They are scheduled to face Aston Villa on the road in their first game after the coronavirus shutdown.
