Manchester United, Everton battling for Brazilian defender
Manchester United and Everton are prepared to go head-to-head in the race to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Lille.
The centre-back has been permitted to leave the French outfit this summer and it appears that he could be joining a Premier League club.
According to Sky Sports, the defender has arrived in London with his representatives and negotiations will be held with both United and Everton.
Both clubs are prepared to meet the £27m asking price set by Lille and it remains to be seen which side can convince him the most.
Napoli have also been linked with Gabriel's services in recent weeks, but they seem to have cooled their interest to look elsewhere.
Gabriel made 34 appearances for Lille during the course of the previous campaign and that included six outings in the Champions League.
He had passed a medical with the Toffees in March, but the coronavirus outbreak scuppered their chances of finalising his transfer.
