Chelsea complete third major signing of the summer
Chelsea have completed their third major purchase of the summer transfer window with Ben Chilwell joining them from Leicester City.
The England international has put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal with the Blues following his £50m switch from the Foxes.
"I am delighted to be joining Chelsea at this very exciting time for the club. I'm looking forward to being a part of this young, dynamic squad led by Frank Lampard as we challenge for honours next season," he told the club's official website.
Chilwell has become the club's third major signing of the current transfer window after the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively.
The Blues have also signed former Barcelona teenager Xavier Mbuyamba. The exciting centre-back is, however, expected to feature for the reserve team during the forthcoming season.
Lampard's side have already spent more than £130m on new signings and their spending spree looks set to continue with Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr expected to join them.
