Declan Rice to push through Chelsea transfer?
West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice could reportedly push through his move to Chelsea during the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
The Blues have already signed six players in Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr this summer.
They are currently on the cusp of landing goalkeeper Edouard Mendy from Rennes and reports claim that Rice will be their next transfer target.
According to The Independent, Rice is said to be keen on making the return to the west London giants, where he spent eight years in the academy.
It is added that he will personally reveal his intention to the Hammers and will seek to force through an exit before the October 5 deadline.
West Ham United are reported to value Rice at more than £70m, but the Blues remain optimistic of signing him for around £50m.
Frank Lampard's side started their season with a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. They are scheduled to host Liverpool this weekend.
