Arsenal to sell Alexandre Lacazette to land Houssem Aouar?

Arsenal are reportedly contemplating the option of selling Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

The Frenchman had a disappointing 2019/2020 season with the Gunners where he netted only 12 goals, but he has started the current campaign in fine form with goals in back-to-back matches.

Despite this, there has been constant speculation regarding his future and The Independent claims that the Gunners are giving serious thought to cashing in on his services.

Lacazette currently has less than two years remaining on his contract and the north London side could sell him with the emergence of Eddie Nketiah as a quality striker.

The capital outfit face the compulsion to sell players in order to recoup funds for new purchases. Lyon's Houssem Aouar is one of the prime targets for Mikel Arteta and Lacazette's sale could cover up a major part of the £50m price tag for the midfielder.

The Gunners have already sold Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa for £20m. They are currently in the process of offloading Lucas Torreira with Atletico Madrid keen on signing him.
