Arsenal still optimistic of signing Barcelona goalkeeper
Arsenal are still optimistic of signing Barcelona goalkeeper Neto despite Ronald Koeman stating that the shot-stopper is not for sale this month.
Neto has asked to leave the Blaugrana during the ongoing transfer window, but the Blaugrana are reluctant to listen to offers midway through the season.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the north London side are still hopeful of pushing through a deal with the player represented by Kia Joorabchian, who has previously brought the likes of Willian and David Luiz to the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta's side signed Alex Runarsson as a replacement for Emiliano Martinez last summer, but he is likely to be sold or loaned out after failing to impress.
There was much talk that the Gunners could spend in the January transfer market, but so far, they have signed no one for the first-team squad.
Instead, the focus has been on outgoings and they have already loaned out Matt Macey, Sead Kolasinac and William Saliba.
