Thomas Tuchel confirms double Chelsea injury boost
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the availability of two players ahead of the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
The Blues are unbeaten in all competitions since the arrival of Tuchel last month and they will be aiming to carry the momentum into the midweek clash.
Ahead of the game, Tuchel has provided a positive injury update by confirming the availability of both Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic.
Havertz has been unavailable since picking up a knock prior to the London derby against Tottenham Hotspur this month.
Pulisic, on the other hand, was recently sidelined with a tight calf. Both players are in contention to feature against Atletico.
"I’m very happy that both Kai and Christian are in the group. They trained with us earlier and had no complaints. They will travel with us and they are in the squad for tomorrow," He told Chelseafc.com.
Meanwhile, the Blues will be without experienced centre-back Thiago Silva as he is continues to improve his fitness after a thigh injury.
He has been training for a while but Tuchel is reluctant to rush him into action. The Brazilian won't travel with the team to Bucharest.
