Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette firm on contract decision
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has no plans of renewing his contract with the club, according to Fichajes.
The Frenchman has entered the final eight months of his deal, and he can negotiate a pre-contract with a foreign club in January.
Lacazette was largely out-of-favour during the early months of the season, but he has returned to contention over the past few weeks.
He scored a dramatic 95th-minute equaliser against Crystal Palace coming off the bench, and has since been a regular league starter.
Lacazette won a penalty in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa, and he was also lively against Leicester City with his hold-up and quick link-up play.
Mikel Arteta recently refused to rule out a renewal for the 30-year-old, but the marksman appears to have made his mind up to leave.
The Gunners spent £46m up front for the Frenchman four years ago. They have the opportunity to recoup a small part of the fee this winter.
It appears unlikely to happen with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe absent in January due to African Cup of Nations duty.
The Gunners plan to depend on Lacazette's experience up front, and there are concerns that a new signing may not be able to adapt quickly.
