Arsenal enter race to sign Leeds United star?
Arsenal have reportedly joined West Ham United and Manchester United in the pursuit of Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
The England international is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League, and he could soon leave the Whites.
West Ham attempted to sign him during the winter transfer window, but Leeds were firm that they would not consider mid-season offers.
However, the 26-year-old could leave for the right price this summer, and there appears plenty of interest in securing his signature.
West Ham, Liverpool and Manchester United are admirers of his qualities, and they have now been joined by Mikel Arteta's side.
The Gunners could sanction the sale of Granit Xhaka this summer. The Swiss has been a long-term target for Roma and Jose Mourinho.
They could look for a new defensive midfielder with Premier League experience, and Phillips would perfectly fit their requirements.
Phillips is one of the lowest earners at Leeds, but he has yet to receive a new deal. They appear to be preparing for his summer departure.
