Chelsea interested in 20-year-old Bundesliga defender
Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a summer move for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.
The Blues are expected to reinforce the central defensive department this summer with the departure of multiple stars.
Andreas Christensen has agreed a free transfer to Barcelona while Antonio Rudiger is likely to join Real Madrid at the expiry of his contract in June.
Meanwhile, Cesar Azpilicueta has also been fancied to head for the exit door. The club captain could follow Christensen to Camp Nou this summer.
Amidst this, the Blues have been fancied to sign two centre-backs, and Goal claims that they are eyeing a move for the highly-rated Gvardiol.
The Croatian only joined Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, but has made a big impression, playing in a back three regularly.
Chelsea have a similar setup under Thomas Tuchel. Gvardiol being left-footed could replace Rudiger on the left side of the back three.
Aside from Gvardiol, the Blues have also been linked with Jules Kounde, Jose Gimenez and Presnel Kimpembe over the past few days.
