Liverpool have agreed to sell Minamino to Monaco. The Japanese international wasn't in Jurgen Klopp's plans and he is on his way out to France.

Takumi Minamino joined the Reds from Red Bull Salzburg in 2020, and since then, he has struggled to become a first-team player. Last season he made 22 appearances scoring 10 goals in all competitions. But, most of those appearances and goals were in the League Cup and FA Cup while starting only once in the Premier League.

Even with Sadio Mane leaving, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain close to the door out, it wasn't expected that Minamino will get more playing time. With the addition of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho, it was obvious that there was no place in the team for the Japanese international. He is leaving Liverpool looking for more game time, which he is hoping to get in Monaco.

The 27-year-old will join Monaco in a deal worth £15.5 million in total, with £13 million upfront and £2.5 million in add-ons.
