Arsenal now interested in Gabriel Jesus' teammate
Arsenal are in advanced negotiations with Leeds United to sign Raphinha, according to David Ornstein.
The north London giants have shown plenty of ambition during the opening stages of the transfer window.
They have already signed Marquinhos, Matt Turner and Fabio Vieira, and Gabriel Jesus is expected to join soon.
The club are now keen on wrapping up a deal for Jesus' compatriot Raphinha following positive talks with his agents.
The Brazil international was initially keen on joining Barcelona this summer, but they are in a bad financial situation.
This has handed the boost to the Gunners, and it is reported that Raphinha has now given the go-ahead for the transfer.
Their opening bid fell well short of the £65m asking price, but they are expected to make a better offer next week.
There is optimism from the Gunners' side that Raphinha could make the move to the Emirates before the end of the month.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with him, but Arsenal are in pole position to land him at the moment.
