Man Utd and Liverpool to move for Andrea Belotti
Both Liverpool and Man Utd are in the race to sign 28-year-old striker Andrea Belotti on a free transfer. The Italians triker, who played for Torino in Serie A last, had been expected to move to England last year but a deal had failed to materialise.
With Arsenal likely to sign Gabriel Jesus, Man Utd have moved ahead of the Gunners in the pecking order to sign Belotti, and Liverpool are surprise late entrants into the race to sign the striker. Last season Belotti bagged 8 goals in 23 appearances after he decided to stay put for 2021-22.
Liverpool are looking for a replacement for Divock Origi, whilst there is some uncertainty regarding the future of Roberto Firmino.
Once valued at 100 million euros by the Turin side, the Italian striker, who has scored 12 goals in 44 games for his country, could be one of the continent's most in demand players due to his free transfer availability. Belotti has always spoken of his desire to play in the Premier League, and Man Utd manager Erik Ten Hag is a known admirer of the talented forward.
