Arsenal table bid for Zinchenko
Several reports suggest that Arsenal are set to follow up their transfer raid on Man City with a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko, in a deal worth around £20 million. Having already secured a deal for Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Arteta is set to again raid his former club Manchester City with a move for Ukrainian international Zinchenko.
The versatile player, who is comfortable playing in midfield or in defence, is wanted by Arsenal as competition for the injury prone Kieran Tierney, who has played around 50 percent of Arsenal's games in recent seasons. Zinchenko is highly rated at City, but first-team opportunities have been limited at Pep Guardiola's side.
Despite helping City to the Premier League title once again last season, Zinchenko is ready for a new challenge and the offer of guaranteed first-team football will be hard to turn down.
It is understood that City are only looking for £20 million to sell Zinchenko, and are seemingly hoping that sales of Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus will eventually help in their long-term pursuit of Bukayo Saka.
