Arsenal make another offer for Tielemans

According to journalist David Ornstein, the Gunners have made a final offer for Youri Tielemans. Arsenal are looking to sign further midfield reinforcements despite a busy summer.

Arsenal have already completed the signings of Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko so far this summer, but are ready to sign Belgium international and Leicester City star Youri Tielemans, who is set to be out of contract next summer. The former Monaco midfielder is desperate for a move to the Emirates, and manager Mikel Arteta and director of football Edu believe that the Belgian is the best possible replacement for Granit Xhaka, once the Swiss international decides to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Tielemans is incredibly popular at the Foxes, but so far the club have been unable to tie the player down to a new deal. Tielemans is said to be looking to join a club who can challenge for top honours, and despite Arsenal's lack of success in recent years, the Belgian is excited about the prospect of playing with a group of fellow young players.

Ornstein said on Twitter: "Youri Tielemans is a player Arsenal like. Leicester City would sell with only a year to go on his contract."

There are numerous sides interested in the midfielder, with both Man Utd and Man City monitoring the player's situation closely.
