Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Spurs game
Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been ruled out of the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow.
The Croatian was an unused substitute for the season opener against Everton, and he is now set to miss the London derby.
Speaking in yesterday's press conference, Tuchel revealed that the midfielder injured his knee and won't play any part against Spurs.
N'Golo Kante and Jorginho started against the Toffees last weekend. They are expected to continue as the midfield pairing on Sunday.
It remains to be seen whether they can cope with Spurs. The north London giants are on the up under former Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Conte has not been on the winning side against Chelsea since leaving them, but should fancy his prospects of doing so at Stamford Bridge.
Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski have been in sparkling form this year alongside Harry Kane, but the latter tends to struggle in August.
Chelsea need to be at their best to beat Spurs tomorrow.
