Chelsea suffer fresh injury blow ahead of Arsenal game
Chelsea have suffered a fresh injury blow before Sunday's Premier League clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are already without N'Golo Kante, Reece James and Wesley Fofana with long-term injuries. They have now been joined by Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Spaniard sustained a foot injury against Brighton & Hove Albion on the road last weekend and Graham Potter has now confirmed his absence.
Arrizabalaga won't play any part against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League tomorrow and may not be fit to face the Gunners on Sunday either.
In his absence, Edouard Mendy has an excellent opportunity to step up after losing his place to the Spaniard for the same reason back in September.
Mendy's rib injury in September paved the way for Arrizabalaga's renaissance. The Senegal star now has the chance to redeem himself.
Chelsea have already qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League with the top spot. Potter is expected to make wholesale changes tomorrow.
