Joao Felix likely to join Chelsea in January transfer window
Joao Felix likely to join Chelsea in January transfer window
Chelsea are in pole position to sign Portugal international star Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window. It is understood the Blues have agreed a fee of close to 15 million euros for the duration of the six month loan, with an option to extend the deal for a further year should the winger impress during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Joao Felix has fallen out with Atleti manager Diego Simeone and is seeking a move away from the club in search of regular first team football. Liverpool were supposedly amongst those interested, but Klopp's side have opted to sign Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven instead. With Arsenal set to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk, that leaves only Chelsea as an option for the Portuguese talent.
Man Utd were also amongst those monitoring Felix's situation, but only want to sign the player on a permanent deal.
Despite a 2-0 win over Bournemouth last night, many Chelsea fans are concerned that recent form of Raheem Sterling has been insufficient and supporters hope the club will strengthen Chelsea's attacking roster during the January transfer window.
