Manchester United enter talks to sign England international
Manchester United have entered talks to sign Crystal Palace goalkeeper Jack Butland following Martin Dubravka's exit this month.
Dubravka was signed from Newcastle United on a season-long loan last summer but he was recalled by the Magpies on January 1.
As a result, the Red Devils are eyeing a new back-up goalkeeper and The Telegraph claim that talks are underway with Palace for Butland.
Butland made 17 appearances for the Eagles last campaign, but he has yet to feature for them this season after the arrival of Sam Johnstone.
At the moment, he is behind Vicente Guaita and Johnstone in the pecking order and is unlikely to play for them barring a major injury crisis.
Hence, Butland could be allowed to move on in the coming days and United seem in pole position to land his services from the London club.
The 29-year-old has nine caps with the England national side. He was once considered as one of the best shot-stoppers in the country.
