Arsenal could be without two key defenders vs Newcastle
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that William Saliba will remain sidelined for the Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
Saliba picked up a back problem in the Europa League against Sporting in March and he has since been on the sidelines.
The Frenchman has yet to return to team training and Arteta has today confirmed that he won't be involved on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Gunners boss added that Gabriel Magalhaes is doubtful after sustaining a knock to his ankle against Chelsea.
The Brazilian could not carry on despite his best efforts. He was eventually replaced by Rob Holding at the heart of the defence.
Looking at the worst case scenario, Holding and Jakub Kiwior could line up in central defence for the Gunners at St James Park.
The duo have not started together for the north London club and they could face a huge defensive test against Eddie Howe's side.
Arsenal face a must-win situation to keep their slender title hopes alive.
