Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to get £150m plus transfer budget?

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could receive a budget of more than £150 million to spend on players in the next transfer window.

The Spaniard has transformed the Gunners over the past couple of years and the club are currently second in the Premier League standings.

The Gunners have gone toe-to-toe with Manchester City in the title race but it appears they could finish as runners-up to the reigning champions.

Irrespective of how the campaign ends, Arteta has exceeded expectations. The club have already qualified for next season's Champions League.

Hence, the budget will be bigger than in recent years and The Independent claim that the manager will have at least £150 million to spend.

With a number of potential exits from the squad, the club's transfer kitty could easily increase to more than £250 million this summer.

The likes of Kieran Tierney, Folarin Balogun, Charlie Patino, Nuno Tavares, Nicolas Pepe and Albert Sambi Lokonga could leave.

There are also doubts over the futures of Emile Smith Rowe and Fabio Vieira amid their reduced playing time over the campaign.
