Matheus Nunes to join Man City from Wolves

Manchester City have finally agreed a fee with Wolverhampton Wanderers to allow Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes to make the move to the Etihad Stadium. It is understood that Pep Guardiola wanted only Nunes before the transfer window closes, and is delighted to have finally secured a deal for the 25-year-old.
The departure of Ilkay Gundogan has hurt Man City, and the club have now bolstered their squad with the Portugal international's arrival, who will be available for the club's game this weekend.
The former Sporting Lisbon, Estoril and Ericeirense midfielder has impressed since making the move to England, and Pep Guardiola has seen something in the Brazil-born midfielder that persuaded him to spend £45 million on the acquisition.
Matheus Nunes initially refused to train for Wolves until a deal would be completed, and finally his club accepted an offer from City that would be agreed late on Wednesday afternoon.
The player is booked to have his medical tomorrow morning and a deal will be agreed on transfer deadline day sometime in the afternoon.
