Arsenal handed big injury boost for Sheffield game
Arsenal have been handed a huge injury boost with midfielder Thomas Partey available to face Sheffield United in the Premier League.
The Ghana international has had another injury interrupted campaign and he has made only five appearances in all competitions.
Partey has been nursing a thigh injury for the past few months, but Arteta has confirmed today that he will be available on Monday.
The midfielder has had three consecutive training sessions without any setbacks and he will be travelling to South Yorkshire.
Alongside him, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu could also make the trip if they pass the necessary fitness tests.
However, the game will come too soon for Jurrien Timber, who has only recently returned to team training after a knee surgery.
The Dutchman will be eased into action by the Gunners and he could be in the squad by the time they face Porto later next month.
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League standings, but they are only two points behind Liverpool for the top position.
