Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Liverpool, Saka and Timber return
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named his starting line-up for today's Premier League clash against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are currently six points adrift of Manchester City for the top spot and today's game appears a must-win to stay in the title pursuit.
Ahead of the encounter, Arteta has made three key changes to the XI.
David Raya continues as usual in goal, but the backline has a different outlook with William Saliba suspended and Riccardo Calafiori injured.
Ben White will start in central defence alongside Gabriel Magalhaes. Jurrien Timber has returned from injury and will occupy the left-back role with Thomas Partey on the right.
Mikel Merino has been recalled into the starting XI to partner Declan Rice in midfield. Leandro Trossard is set to feature from the number 10 position.
In attack, Bukayo Saka returns from a hamstring injury to feature on the right wing. Gabriel Martinelli has got the nod on the left wing with Kai Havertz leading the line.
Confirmed Arsenal line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Liverpool: Raya; Partey, White, Gabriel, Timber; Rice, Merino; Saka, Trossard, Martinelli; Havertz.
