Predicted Chelsea lineup for the FA Cup final

Antonio Conte keen to clinch domestic double by lifting the FA Cup

Predicted Chelsea lineup for the FA Cup final

27 May 2017 - 13:40

English champions Chelsea will target to celebrate a domestic double when they take on London rivals Arsenal in the final of the FA Cup tonight.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Blues managed to lift the Premier League with ease this season as they kept a meaningful distance to the chasing pack.

Antonio Conte will now be keen to add another trophy to his cabinet - in his debut English season, and he is due to name a strong squad to tackle the Gunners.

    Formation: 3-4-3

The 3-4-3 formation changed the Blues' title prospects following the defeat to Arsenal last September, and the club have since utilised the setup to good effect en route to the Premier League title.

    Lineup:

Thibaut Courtois had been ever present during the Blues' league campaign, and he is likely to get the nod over back-up Asmir Begovic, who has been used earlier in the FA Cup.

Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill have remained the mainstay in the central defensive departments, and no changes are expected for the Wembley showpiece.

Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso have done their jobs fairly well over the course of the season, and they could be expected to fulfil the right wing-back and left wing-back positions respectively.

Cesc Fabregas would be eager to face off against his former employers but Conte is likely to drop him to the bench in order to accompany Nemanja Matic alongside N'Golo Kante - who recently won the PFA Player of the Year accolade.

Like the defence, the forward line has barely seen changes this term with Pedro, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard occupying their regular positions.

Willian contributed a brilliant brace in the 4-2 win over Spurs in the semi-final stage, and Conte will have make a decision between the former and Pedro for the right-wing role.
