Arsenal make the trip to Belarus to face BATE Borisov in the opening leg of the Europa League round of 32. The Gunners have a good history against their opponents after having scored a minimum of four goals in both of the group stage meetings last season.
Formation: 4-3-2-1
Predicted Lineup:
Petr Cech has been largely entrusted with the Cup and European duties this term and he should replace Bernd Leno between the sticks for the forthcoming encounter.
In the defence, Emery may stick with the same combination from the recent trip to Huddersfield Town. In this case, Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal should make up the three-man backline with Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac taking up their positions in the right and left wing-back roles respectively.
In the midfield, Emery may not take a risk with Granit Xhaka from the off, given the Swiss has just recovered from a groin problem. This should witness Mateo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira take up the central midfield roles ahead of Mohamed Elneny, who has failed to impress under Emery.
In the attack, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should return to the fray after recovering from their respective illnesses to participate in first-team training. Ozil may be fielded alongside winter signing Denis Suarez in the attacking midfield slots while Aubameyang should lead the line ahead of Alexandre Lacazette.
Predicted XI: Bernd Leno; Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal,;Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Mateo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira; Denis Suarez, Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
