Predicted Liverpool lineup (4-3-3) to face Burnley, Van Dijk and Firmino start

08 March 2019 - 15:45

Liverpool are scheduled to face Burnley in this weekend's Premier League clash at Anfield.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Reds have secured back-to-back draws in the top-flight but they can't afford to drop further points with Manchester City already holding a single-point lead over them at the top of the standings.

    Formation: 4-3-3

    Predicted Lineup:

Alisson Becker has featured in every minute of the Reds' Premier League campaign this term and the Brazil international is expected to start in goal against the Clarets.

In the defence, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson should retain their positions on the right and left side of the backline while Joel Matip should once more partner Virgil van Dijk at centre-back with Dejan Lovren lacking match fitness after his recent return from a hamstring issue.

In the midfield, Jurgen Klopp is likely to go with the combination of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum, given the club can't afford resting any main players with the title pursuit hanging in the balance.

In the frontline, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane should slot into the right and left wing positions respectively while Roberto Firmino should lead the line with Divock Origi dropping to the bench.
