Inter Milan will reportedly propose to sign Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka in a straight-exchange deal for Christian Eriksen in January.
The north London giants have made an average start to the Premier League season and they have accumulated just 12 points from eight games.
Their main concern has been the lack of a creative midfielder and it appears that they will address the issue at the turn of the year.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Gunners hold an interest in Eriksen and they could make an approach to sign him in January.
Inter boss Antonio Conte is open to parting ways with the former Spurs man, but it is suggested that he may propose a swap deal involving Xhaka.
Xhaka has recently fallen out-of-favour under Mikel Arteta with Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny preferred ahead of him in the midfield.
Dani Ceballos has also got the nod over the Swiss captain off the bench and the ex-Arsenal skipper could be tempted by a fresh challenge.
