Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1) vs Brentford, Ziyech and James start

Chelsea welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge for today's Premier League clash. The Blues have won their last five league games, and should be favourites to extend their winning streak.

  • Chelsea want to sign Lyon star to replace Jadon Sancho
  • Arsenal want to bring Aymeric Laporte back to England

  • Formation: 3-4-2-1

    Predicted Line-up:

Edouard Mendy has been the number one choice in goal for the Blues when fit and available. The Senegal star will be eyeing his 12th clean sheet of the top-flight campaign.

In the backline, Andreas Christensen could partner Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger, having overcome an Achilles injury sustained before the international break.

Similarly, Reece James is fit after a minor knee concern. He should slot into the right wing-back position. Marcos Alonso is likely to feature on the opposite end.

Tuchel has often swapped between N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic for the two midfield slots. Kante and Jorginho have been in a better run of form lately, and should get the nod.

Jorginho recently suffered a shock with Italy failing to make the World Cup, but his club form has been impressive. He has bagged an assist in the last two appearances for the London giants.

Further forward, Kai Havertz is expected to lead the line, having netted four goals in his last three league outings. Behind him, Mason Mount should be an assured starter under Thomas Tuchel.

Christian Pulisic has been the regular alongside the duo lately, but Tuchel recently said that he is very tired after his international exploits. This could pave the way for Hakim Ziyech to feature.

Predicted Chelsea line-up (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; James, Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Ziyech, Mount; Havertz.
