Tottenham Hotspur lining up Javier Hernandez offer

Tottenham Hotspur are poised to make a formal bid for out-of-favour Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.

United boss Louis van Gaal has iterated that the Mexican international would have to fight for his place at Old Trafford, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Memphis Depay and James Wilson ahead of him in the pecking order.

According to The Mirror, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino considers Chicharito ideal man to replace outbound striker Emmanuel Adebayor upfront next season.

Hernandez was shipped out on loan to Real Madrid for the previous season.
