Christian Benteke in surprise Hull link
Christian Benteke in surprise Hull link
Hull City are eyeing an audacious move for unsettled Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian struggled for playing time under Jurgen Klopp last season.
Benteke joined the Reds from Aston Villa under the Brendan Rodgers' reign last summer, and scored on his Anfield debut against Bournemouth.
However, his performances dropped in the games which followed as he found it hard to adapt to the Reds' style of play.
With Jurgen Klopp replacing Rodgers at the helm, the 25-year-old became a fringe player with the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino being preferred for the lone upfront.
The likes of West Ham United and Crystal Palace have made approaches for the marksman this summer, but neither of them are willing to come close to the Reds' £30m valuation.
A report from The Hull Daily Mail says Benteke could seal a surprise loan move to the Tigers, who are currently on the search for a new head coach.
Steve Bruce recently parted ways with the Yorkshire outfit due their lack of transfer activity.
Benteke made just 14 league starts for the Reds during the previous campaign.
