Liverpool lining up move for West Ham ace
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen on lodging an attempt to sign West Ham United's Pedro Obiang in the summer.
The 24-year-old linked up with the Hammers from Sampdoria in the summer of 2015 and has since transformed into a key player under Slaven Bilic.
Obiang has earned 18 outings in the Premier League this term, and his showing in central midfield is said to have impressed the Reds manager.
According to The Sun, the Merseyside outfit will make an offer to sign the Spanish footballer in the summer with Klopp seeking to add more options to his midfield.
The centre of the park has been an issue for the Reds this campaign with skipper Jordan Henderson and Emre Can failing to show up against the lower half teams.
The Hammers are, for now, determined to keep hold of their powerful midfielder, but a fee of around £18m could tempt them into a sale.
Obiang, who is also eligible to play for Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, has two years left on his West Ham contract.
