Guardiola keen to sign English talent

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been linked with many players over the last few weeks, as clubs look to line up transfer targets ahead of the summer transfer window. Speaking in a press conference ahead of Manchester City's Premier League match against Stoke, Guardiola has said that he will actively look to sign English players.
Guardiola has been known to try and sign players from the nation of the club which he is managing, with plenty of Spanish and German players being signed at Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively. However, Guardiola is very aware that English players carry a much higher price tag than international signings.
Four highly talented English players that could be interesting Guardiola are Jack Wilshere, who is currently on loan at Bournemouth from Arsenal, Sunderland's rising star Jordan Pickford and Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Danny Rose.
Guardiola aims to not only bring English players to the Etihad, but also young players, who have the potential to be City stars for many years to come. Manchester City have a great youth set up, with many hot prospects making their way through the system, with striker Kelechi Iheanacho a fine example of that. The club have also recently signed youngsters Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus.
