Jose Mourinho blames Van Gaal for club crisis

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho insists that the club are not in a good state owing to Louis van Gaal's transfer business at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman was at the helm between 2014 and 2016 where he sold the likes of Javier Hernandez, Angel di Maria and Danny Welbeck, all of whom Jose would have kept hold of.

While Welbeck has struggled with long-term injury problems, he has nevertheless managed to become a fan favourite at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, both Di Maria and Hernandez has turned out to be huge hits at Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayer Leverkusen respectively, leading to more question marks over Van Gaal's reign.

Manchester United have struggled to match the Premier League's elite despite recruiting the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a combined £150m last summer, and Jose feels that the club are still far off from competing for the title.

He also surprisingly blamed the FA for the poor scheduling of Premier League games for which former great Roy Keane slammed the 54-year-old for speaking 'garbage'.
