Manchester United plan De Gea replacement

Oblak is a possible replacement for David De Gea

With speculation building that Manchester United may lose their first choice goalkeeper to Real Madrid in the summer, another La Liga goalkeeper is being lined up to replace De Gea between the sticks at Old Trafford.

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak is the man who Jose Mourinho may look to should he lose De Gea, with Oblak admitting that he may be tempted by the move, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Oblak was voted the best goalkeeper in La Liga last season and has carried that form into this campaign, keeping fifteen cleansheets for the Madrid club. Sources close to the twenty four year old Slovenia goalkeeper said "for every player it is an honour to come to the UK and play for clubs like this one."

It seems that an awful lot of potential deals ahead of the next transfer window will require release clauses being triggered and this one is no different. Oblak has an £85 million release clause in his contract, similar to that of fellow Atletico Madrid player Antoine Griezmann.

Other replacements that Manchester United are rumoured to be monitoring, should David De Gea leave include Gianluigi Donnarumma and Bernd Leno.
