Chelsea told to up bid for Juventus midfielder
Premier League leaders Chelsea have been told to up their bid to £25m if they are to stand any chance of signing Juventus' Claudio Marchisio in the summer.
Blues boss Antonio Conte is understood to be keen on a reunion with the 31-year-old with whom he has worked at Juventus and Italy.
According to The Express, Conte is likely to get wish during the coming transfer window with the Old Lady more than willing to part ways with Marchisio.
Conte has the luxury of playing the likes of Nemanja Matic, N'Golo Kante and Cesc Fabregas in central defence but he is nevertheless said to want Marchisio ahead of a challenging Champions League campaign next term.
Marchisio has appeared over 350 times across all competitions for Juve to date, but his time could be up in the summer with Max Allegri looking to gain sufficient funds in order to spend on top quality talents in the transfer market.
