Liverpool boss drops fresh injury update on Dejan Lovren
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Dejan Lovren won't feature for the Reds during this weekend's league meeting versus Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Croatia international has been recovering from a pelvic problem which has sidelined him since the start of the campaign and Klopp has now confirmed the centre-back will miss the Seagulls clash.
“Dejan is coming closer but he is not really around team training in the moment. I’m not 100 per cent sure what he is doing today because we are the day before the game, so he will not be involved in that [Brighton] game," he told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, Klopp added that the World Cup finalist may certainly miss the Leicester City encounter thereafter and he may only return after the international break in September.
In his absence, Joe Gomez has done a tremendous job alongside Virgil van Dijk and the duo have kept clean sheets in the first two games of the Premier League season.
