Chelsea striker on his way to Ligue 1 outfit?
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud could be reunited with former Arsenal teammate Laurent Koscielny at Bordeaux when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The 33-year-old is expected to leave the Blues next month after struggling to secure regular minutes under the guidance of manager Frank Lampard this term.
Both Inter Milan and AC Milan have been linked with his services in recent weeks but Goal.com claims that Bordeaux are prepared to lure him to the French Ligue 1 this winter.
Koscielny, who is a close friend of Giroud from his Arsenal days, made the move to Paulo Sousa's side over the summer and the club are hoping to influence the marksman through his compatriot.
Still, they are reluctant to pay the player's wages in full and they are hoping that the Frenchman will take a cut or that the Blues are willing to pay a portion of the salary package.
Chelsea are set to face Tottenham Hotspur in the league on Sunday. Giroud is unlikely to start in the derby and he may feature on the bench at best against Jose Mourinho's side.
