Arsenal eye summer move for Bundesliga centre-back

Tah on Arsenal's radar

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.

The German centre-back turns out to be one of the best centre-backs in Bundesliga, helping  Peter Bosz’s side pick up 6 clean sheets this season.

According to Goal.com, Gunners are planning a summer swoop for Tah, who is understood have a release clause worth €40m which will remain active right until the start of Euro Qualifiers.

The report also states that if any of the teams fail to exercise his buyout clause, the final decision will be upon Bayer whether to keep him or sell in the summer.

Having featured in the Euro Qualifiers, the 24-year-old could start for the Joachim Low's side at the Euros.

Gunners’ interest in signing the German players is not a new one as they already have the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Mesut Ozil and goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the current squad.

Arteta's side acquired the services of Pablo Mari on loan from Flamengo in the winter transfer exchange, and the Spaniard made his debut with the reserves team recently.
