Spurs in for Pope this summer?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly consider an approach to sign goalkeeper Nick Pope from Burnley this summer.

The north London side have depended on Hugo Lloris in goal for the past seven-and-a-half years but they are said to be considering a possible replacement ahead of next season.

Ajax's Andre Onana has been regularly linked with a move to the Capital outfit but according to Football.London, Pope has emerged as another possible target for Jose Mourinho's side.

Pope has been ever-present for the Clarets in the Premier League this term and he has managed to register 11 clean sheets which sees him at the top of the Golden Glove race.

The England international currently has more than three years remaining on his existing deal with the Clarets and Spurs will therefore have to pay a significant sum to lure him from Turf Moor this summer.

Mourinho is expected to be provided with a £135m transfer kitty for the summer. Aside from Pope, Spurs are looking into a deal for RB Leipzig's Marcel Sabitzer, who recently scored a brace against them in the Champions League.
