Arsenal planning fresh approach to sign Barcelona star?
Arsenal have reportedly refused to give up on their pursuit of Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazil international was heavily linked with the Gunners earlier this year when he was on loan at Bayern Munich.
He has since returned to the Camp Nou and has featured predominantly in the club's friendlies under new boss Ronald Koeman.
Despite this, the Gunners have not given up hope of signing him and they are planning a fresh loan approach for his services before the transfer deadline.
The Blaugrana are currently going through a mini-transition under Koeman, with a number of senior players having already left the club.
Ivan Rakitic, Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez have all pursued free transfers elsewhere while Nelson Semedo has also made the switch to Wolves.
Arsenal are only looking into an initial loan move for Coutinho, but they are optimistic of convincing the Blaugrana by including an obligation to buy.
Koeman has personally stated that he would like to work with Coutinho, but ultimately, the decision over the player's future may lie on the board.
