Predicted Chelsea lineup vs Tottenham Hotspur

Chelsea are scheduled to host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this evening. The Blues are presently third in the standings and they can go top with a victory over their cross-town rivals.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

Edouard Mendy has been the undisputed pick between the sticks since his arrival from Rennes. The Senegalese has already kept four clean sheets and he is expected to start against Spurs.

In the backline, a solitary change is expected. Thiago Silva should partner Kurt Zouma in the central defence. Elsewhere, Reece James and Ben Chilwell are due to continue in the right and left-back positions respectively.

N'Golo Kante has been in fine form this season and he is expected to take up the holding midfield role. Ahead of him, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz could be the likely pairing.

Havertz has not played in the Premier League since October after contracting the coronavirus. He made his comeback with a substitute outing at Rennes and should return to the starting lineup for today's league clash.

Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Hakim Ziyech have been the front trio for the Blues in the past three league games and no changes are expected for the London derby.

They have bagged a combined tally of four goals and four assists in the previous three league matches where the Blues have been on the winning side.

Predicted Lineup (4-3-3): Edouard Mendy; Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell; N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount; Hakim Ziyech, Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner
