Liverpool interested in reported Chelsea target
Liverpool have made an approach for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Adama Traore, according to Football Insider.
Traore had a disappointing 2020/21 season with Wolves, registering just two goals and three assists in the Premier League.
Despite this, the Spaniard remains on demand with both Chelsea and Liverpool weighing up bids for his services.
Wolves are open to sanctioning his sale for £35m, and it is now claimed that the Reds have made a formal approach.
The Merseyside giants were keen on landing Traore last summer, before they decided to sign his teammate Diogo Jota.
Jota impressed last season with 13 goals from 30 outings. The Reds are now looking to reunite with Traore at the club.
The club are prepared to part ways with Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi, and Traore could be brought in to fill the void.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will be on African Cup of Nations duty early next year. The Reds are keen to cover up for their absence.
They have also been linked with Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne, but it is unclear whether he would join them without a guaranteed starting role.
