Arsenal set to keep Eddie Nketiah?
Arsenal are likely to keep Eddie Nketiah after Crystal Palace failed to negotiate a suitable fee for his services.
The 21-year-old has entered the final year of his contract, and he has been widely fancied to leave the Gunners.
Palace recently made a bid of around £10m, but it was well short of the Gunners' £20m price tag for the marksman.
Both clubs have been unwilling to change their stance. The Gunners are prepared to keep Nketiah beyond deadline day.
The north London giants are likely to negotiate a short-term extension such that they can preserve his transfer value.
Meanwhile, Palace have their sights on pursuing Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard following their failed Nketiah move.
The deal could cost them around £20m up front. Russian side Rubin Kazan have already made an offer close to that figure.
Edouard has also been linked with Brighton, but the south coast outfit now seem to be close to signing Abdallah Sima.
