Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel asks for new striker?
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly urged the club's hierarchy to recruit a new striker during the January transfer window.
The Blues re-signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan this summer, and the Belgian has already made his mark with four goals.
However, he is currently out of action with an ankle injury, and he could be ruled out for a month, according to Transfer Window Podcast.
Timo Werner could also be sidelined for the same period of time, and it is claimed that Tuchel has urged the board to sign another marksman.
The Blues have the option of recalling Armando Broja, who has excelled since joining Southampton on a season-long loan agreement.
However, Tuchel prefers the striker to continue his development, and has requested the hierarchy to explore a new signing at the turn of the year.
The German believes the club have been too reliant on Lukaku, having parted ways with Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi.
