Jurgen Klopp makes January transfer decision
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is not looking for new signings during the January transfer window.
The Reds signed only Ibrahima Konate last summer. It has been widely suggested that there could be some transfer activity next month.
However, according to ESPN, that may not be the case. Klopp is not keen on pursuing any players at the midway stage of the campaign.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are expected to leave for the African Cup of Nations next month, but no temporary replacements will be signed.
Klopp is prepared to trust his current crop of players next month. The likes of Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino are expected to feature regularly.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel Phillips could be the only one heading for the exit door next month. He is attracting plenty of Premier League interest.
Joe Gomez has also been linked with a winter exit, but Klopp considers him as a key back-up option for the central defensive department.
