Liverpool suffer big injury blow ahead of Carabao Cup final
Liverpool have suffered a big injury blow ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea next weekend.
The Reds were without Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino during their recent 3-1 Premier League win over Norwich City.
Speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Jota has picked up a minor injury and may make his comeback soon.
However, the German manager was concerned over Firmino, who could be out for a while after suffering another muscle injury.
Firmino has had a stop-start campaign with the Merseyside giants, but has still impressed with eight goals and four assists.
He had been finding his feet in recent weeks, but it now appears he could be sidelined for a number of games after another setback.
Liverpool are still well covered in attack with the presence of Jota, Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane among others.
However, Firmino has been a superb contributor over the years. The 30-year-old has turned into somewhat of a super sub this season.
